Eric Waugh

Canadian artist Eric Waugh, a self-taught contemporary abstract artist, is one of the most recognizable and collected painters throughout North America, selling more than 35,000 original works around the globe in the past 24 years. He is widely known for the vibrancy of color and rich textures in his works and his unique ability to combine whimsical fun with sophisticated elegance.

In his early 20s, Eric began honing his graphic design skills to support the needs of his own novelty and gift business, eventually opening a commercial graphic design studio. With the encouragement of a sibling who was working in the fine arts industry, Eric tried his hand at painting, displaying some early works in a local gallery. When a dozen of his first paintings sold in under two weeks, Eric's new career and life passion took flight.

Since that time Eric's paintings have been acquired by hundreds of major corporations and thousands of private collectors around the world, and also appear as fine art posters, home dcor, jewelry and other decorative products.

Eric is also well-known for his live performances, where he can be seen on television, cruise ships, at corporate events and elsewhere often to musical accompaniment delighting audiences by bringing large works of art to life in minutes you can check out some of his "speed painting" demonstrations on YouTube.

Additionally, Eric invests much of his time and energy into giving back his "Hero", a Guinness record-holding painting of over 41,000 square feet, and other charitable efforts have helped to raise well over $1,000,000 for worthy causes in the last few years alone.
